I remember it like it was yesterday 😢
If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.

With an almost 16 year old boy, this was particularly interesting. TG he hates the Tate bros, Musk etc but it's scary how many young men are going this way. Where are the men, indeed...
at the risk of sound like bill bennett, where exactly are the men in these boy’s lives? the fathers? coaches? anyone genuinely concerned with their lives?
Essay: A senior at an all boys high school on the appeal of the Tate brothers: In a confusing time for young men, they offer “answers that are appealingly simple.”

The U.S. spends only 14 cents on the dollar helping Americans buy health insurance and only 12 cents on the dollar toward medical bill payments.

Cutting Medicaid spending won't reduce government waste and overspending, but it will put over 70 million Americans’ health insurance in jeopardy.

"On Tyranny" is a #1 NYT bestseller again. I wish the moment were different. But I’m glad the book is useful. And grateful for all the kind words about putting the 20 lessons to work.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you.

The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

For those who don't understand the differences between a) spending, b) cost and c) efficiency. Simply cutting spending is not "reducing cost" or improving "efficiency." It is, in most cases, reducing quality as measured by outcomes (because money matters) schoolfinance101.com/2012/01/11/d...

I was on campaign calls last year with @kim.senate.gov and now Senator Elissa Slotkin. Positive experiences. Voted for Kim. Now couldn't be more disgusted and dejected by their votes for Noem for DHS. WTAF?! Is @aoc.bsky.social the ONLY one fighting for us?!

If you're in a Democratic state, don't assume your rep is voting against HR 9495. I was shocked and deeply disappointed to see my rep @donaldnorcross.bsky.social voted for this bill the first time. I've already called to let him know my displeasure and have shared this w/my friends. Do the same!
HR 9495 would give the Trump administration powers to pursue dissenting non-profits and other groups under counter-terrorism laws.

🚨 ☎️ Please call your representatives:
Call your rep NOW and demand they vote NO tomorrow:
