Measles warning to holidaymakers as cases rise across Europe
As the summer holiday season gets going, families are being warned of measles outbreaks in many popular European destinations, with vaccination rates in the UK still far below what experts advise.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Eileen Kowler, a true giant in the field of eye movements & their interaction with vision & cognitive processes. She helped me as a grad student & it was always wonderful to talk to her. Her body of work is foundational to our field. Thank you, Eileen.

How can we decide which viewpoints of an object are qualitatively special? How do we know where the front is, for objects we've never seen before? In our new paper we provide a quantiative account of why some object viewpoints are qualitatively special.

When I took a job in the UK, I didn’t account for the govt hostility to foreigners. Rent a flat with my German husband co-listed = impossible until we pay 1000s for family visa. Rent alone & list his 🇩🇪 salary as income = impossible (non UK income). Renting alone = impossible (my salary too low). 🫠
