Companies importing goods from USA can reclaim any VAT. Only end consumers pay vat. VAT isn’t equivalent to a tariff.
There is perhaps an argument that all uk ecom companies selling to USA consumers should pay a minimum sales tax - but many already do pay state sales taxes (due to state nexus laws)

If you need proof of how far these campaigns are from serious analysis or solutions, look no further than the wild abusive grievances they promote & defend. They’ve lost all perspective. This is totally unhinged.
