Companies importing goods from USA can reclaim any VAT. Only end consumers pay vat. VAT isn’t equivalent to a tariff.
There is perhaps an argument that all uk ecom companies selling to USA consumers should pay a minimum sales tax - but many already do pay state sales taxes (due to state nexus laws)

Back in 2015 I wanted a Tesla and even then my wife said she’d never get one as Elon was a dick - ended up with a Qashqai.
Retired that and just gone electric, with a Polestar, and have to say, she called it.

I remember the SEJ losing their shit about a video showing some kids cycling on a quiet street (on a Sunday)… “This must rank as one of the most insensitive videos ever posted”! So post a video :-)
