As someone who lives in a rural area, I don't think lowering the drink driving limit will hurt rural pubs. What's hurting rural pubs is a lack of public transport infrastructure and rising prices. You shouldn't drive after you've had any alcohol, even if it is within the legal limit.

Shame that Benin lost, but Egypt are a better team. If you ask me, Egypt should've had this game settled by the end of regular time. It shouldn't have gone to extra time. Egypt could win the tournament, but it feels like they're relying a bit too much on luck and not skill #AFCON25

Stopped watching Senegal vs Sudan after Senegal's second goal. Two players were clearly offside but the goal was allowed to stand. Now watching Mali vs Tunisia. Still no goals, but lots of chances. Nail-biting stuff #Afcon25

the first apology I saw on here, for enabling AI generated revenge porn imagery and CSAM, was from "grok" and not an exec. a clear attempt to offload the blame to the slop machine, when in any sensible world musk & co would be hauled off to prison
This is quite an important point; if you are a UK citizen with Twitter on your phone, opening it up is like playing Russian roulette that the algorithm might commit a strict liability offence on your behalf.
Has everyone whose scroll the illegal image appeared on also committed an offence by downloading it? This is one of those AI worst case scenarios that ought to make everyone aware of the current direction of travel.

Glad I decided to watch Zimbabwe vs South Africa over Angola vs Egypt for two reasons: 1) it was the more interesting game in the end, and 2) the sound mixing on the matches broadcast on 4seven is way quieter than on Channel 4 Sports' YouTube channel #afcon25

Egypt didn't deserve to win that match. 34 shots, 11 on target, and it felt like their players were aiming for the moon instead of the back of the net. Zimbabwe played a lot better than the difference in ranking between the two would suggest. #AFCON25

the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"

Everyone doesn’t mean the same thing when they post a meme like this, but there is a steelmanable version: that Democratic and Republican presidents have historically acted equally brutally and lawlessly to people overseas, and that the main differences are in domestic rhetoric and policy.
