This is incredible news. Today, Virginia officials will unveil a statue of Barbara Johns at the Capitol to replace one of Confederate General Robert E. Lee that had stood for more than a century. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...
Statue of Black teen who fought segregation replaces Robert E. Lee at U.S. Capitol
Barbara Rose Johns was only 16 when she led a walkout in 1951 to protest horrendous conditions at her segregated high school for Black students in rural Farmville, Virginia.

Praying for his full & speedy recovery.

And so deeply inspired by his example.

This is UNACCEPTABLE. Slot has destroyed this team, and the back office is behaving abominably.

Saleh is GOLD. Mismanaging him is a firing offense for Slot. What a disgrace.

Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

Schumer put the nail in his own coffin and the Democratic Leadership. It's done. Just a matter of time. Ditto Centrists.

They have misread the moment and the rage of the people.

Trump and MAGA will continue playing them because they know they are weak.

Hey @kaine.senate.gov why aren’t your offices’ phone lines taking voicemail? Is it because you don’t want to hear from the angry constituents who voted for you and who you are now throwing under the bus?

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

You will be safe at protests. If you are nervous, go/leave early, stay away from people getting tense.
