Push-pull trains were a common sight on the “Rhein-Ruhr” 🇩🇪 S-Bahn network for many years. The driving trailer (cab-car) on my photo from the early 2000s still displays the orange “Produktfarben” livery introduced in the late 1980s.

Bonsoir TGV! Last night we arrived on platform 11 at Paris Nord which is not part of the cross-Channel ones. Our e320 was being used straight away for a service to Brussels.

The Sydney Metro is really excellent: very fast, cross-platform transfer to trains in Chatswood, great level boarding; but why is it so infrequent? 10 min headways on Friday evening, it's an automated metro, just cut the trains in half!

Oh, ich hätte eigentlich damit gerechnet, dass sich der internationale Ramschniveau-SPNV Gorizia - Nova Gorica maximal eine Fahrplanperiode lang hält. Zum Glück habe ich nichts darauf gewettet.
Neu kann man in der Gegend auch wieder nach Ajdovščina fahren, halt nur an Schultagen...
Oh, ich hätte eigentlich damit gerechnet, dass sich der internationale Ramschniveau-SPNV Gorizia - Nova Gorica maximal eine Fahrplanperiode lang hält. Zum Glück habe ich nichts darauf gewettet.

A Class 652 electric, displaying the #FS 🇮🇹 “logo inclinato”, at #Brennero/#Brenner border station in spring 2001. The diesel shunter visible in the distance has just pushed her from under the “Austrian” 15kV AC catenary to the “Italian” 3kV DC section and the engine driver has raised the pantograph.

My first ever ride on an #SNCF 🇫🇷 #Corail car, which I found comfortable, classy and stylish. (And I still do.)

#Zurich🇨🇭Altstetten one day at dawn, in February 2006: this is the short “Chur portion” of a multi-destination #DB 🇩🇪 #UrlaubsExpress night train, shuttling holidaymakers from northern Germany to various Swiss ski resorts. I was the only one getting off at this suburban station early in the morning.

The first car right behind the loco is a double-decker sleeper. I remember, there was also a #DiningCar.

The #nightjet logo, seen last night at #Basel🇨🇭SBB. This is a seat car with compartments on the #Zürich to #Berlin 🇩🇪 service. Its home base is #Graz 🇦🇹 which will be reached three days later: this consist performs the Zurich to Berlin vv. and the Zurich to Graz vv. #nightjet runs.
