Tickets for the new timetable period are now available at DB. Also the new ICE Antwerpen-Köln with stops in Brussels Airport, Leuven and Liège is now available. It starts running from the 7th of September and I might have made the timetable for it 😉

Something special in the sidings in Leuven 🇧🇪: a Siemens high speed train destined for Egypt 🇪🇬. It currently is in Belgium for test rides (under 25 kV I heard)

Knowing that they already have 30 train sets on order for e.a. 🇫🇷🇧🇪🇳🇱🇩🇪 & a valid safety certificate for France, this seems huge news to me

Due to construction works on line 12, European Sleeper Venice-Brussels was deviated today by yours truly via Visé, Liège and Hasselt.
And as the train passes very close to where I live, I had to go take a look!

The OUIGO Train Classique service between Brussels and Paris will stop once a day in Saint-Quentin from the 14th of April, albeit not every day. I suspect it was not possible to secure a path to do that every day.

Another change in the new timetable is that the slow "EuroCity" service between Belgium and the Netherlands will be run with i11 carriages instead of ICRm. This weekend there are already some commercial test runs
For now still hauled with the old Traxx locs until the new class 17 locomotives arrive

i11 carriages + SNCB/NMBS colored TRAXX entered in service this morning between Brussels-South and Rotterdam CS as part of the IC 9200 services. This should be also the case tomorrow, but not next week.
i11 are stickered "EuroCity".
