The SNAP program is wildly over-engineered to prevent fraud. Like the food stamps that came before them, EBT accounts are only good for certain groceries. You can’t even buy a hot meal.
A universal basic income system with regular money would be better, but more susceptible to this ugly rhetoric.

They're absolutely not supposed to be in there. It's not a public space. I know that "rule of law doesn't apply any more " etc etc, but this kind of escalation, in a space for child care, is insane. That kind of stupid, armed violence around kids should be stopped with the full force of local govt.

The entire pundit class has convinced people for so long that their “analysis” was somehow necessary and valuable when in reality it was just a con game to manufacture consent for bias-confirming “strategies” that only benefited the capitalist class and guaranteed pundits career security.

Republicans and Democrats listen to the same cynical think tanks that believe people can be boiled down to simple statistical identities and if you hit enough prerequisites you automatically win votes in those identities. It only works for Republicans because their secret sauce is bigotry.
