Gambling ruins lives. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Albanese government will continue to choose vested interests over the wellbeing of Australians and hide behind a watered-down policy - if they ever introduce one. We need action on gambling harms now.

Hard to understand a govt that blocks teenagers from social media but has *no* issue with them accessing online gambling platforms at all, or with them being bombarded with ads for online gambling.
Australia’s teen social media ban has a gaming-sized loophole
The list of banned platforms requires mental gymnastics that the government has struggled to explain, and ignores where kids actually spend their time.

Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

The Grattan Institute's new report shows that electrification can halve households' energy costs while also driving down emissions.

By accelerating the shift to renewables we'll provide cost of living relief to all Australians.

Australians deserve cheap, clean energy for homes and businesses.
💡 Cheaper energy bills AND reduced emissions?

Our new report finds that Australian household energy bills are set to halve by 2050, leaving room for the federal gov't to cut emissions in the electricity sector without hurting households.

Every time the government accepts money from the gambling industry, it increases its debts to companies whose business models are based on preying on young and vulnerable people, and doing them harm.

The Albanese government does this again and again.

The gambling industry is predatory and insidious.

I quit the Parliamentary Sports Club a few weeks ago, when I discovered it had registered as a lobbyist group and was sponsored by the gambling peak body.

The industry will do anything to wield influence on pollies, and hates being called out.

John Lyons has shown his courage previously when reporting on the #GazaGenocide and the war crimes from #Netanyahu.

He is now asking the tough questions that American journalists are too gutless to ask of their dictator.

#ABC need to continually support him.
