According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150K trees have been planted & 45ha of parks created in the already hot city, all intended to not only improve quality-of-life today, but also help the city adapt to & manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050.

Just the start.

Common sense.

Great piece on the benefits of making cities cycle friendly, along with the resistance that currently exists to doing somin Ireland.

Saw some of the great work done in Limerick recently, and the lack thereof in Galway and mentioned in the piece the piecemeal progress in Cork

Thanks and appreciation to ESB networks, home life was turned upside down without power – thankfully now restored through their great work!
ESB Networks has restored power to 308,000 homes, farms, and businesses affected by Storm Éowyn.

However, around 460,000 customers remain without electricity, down from a peak of 768,000 yesterday.
