And then do the same post as a talk at some media conference, causally name dropping the names of all the CEOs this executive met (not that I have ever seen it)
I think the only media career that is 100 percent totally safe at all times is "British ad executive who writes LinkedIn posts titled 'Advertising is broken' once a year"

Jason Snell @snell.zone hits a nail on the head with this one sixcolors.com/post/2025/05...

I am not fully certain that io will make a product that will be as ubiquitous as the smartphone - and as fully global, accessible and scalable. We’ll have to wait and see, but I don’t get my hopes up yet.

That whole enterprise will go down in history one way or another and I think it's 50/50

Can't say I am *excited* about this, but I am certainly curious

There is a world where I might have gone to "Hodges and Figgis" to buy "Everything is Tuberculosis" and bump into probably one of the few people I would be genuinely star-struck by.
But alas, I got the book already, so it is not this world

🍾 Happy 100th anniversary to The New Yorker 🎉

Here's an updated version of a poster I first threw together a couple years ago depicting every cover to date. For the anniversary, that's 5,056 covers.

My goodness, Severance 2x07 is exceptionally good. And, as a Braun enthusiast, I was very pleased with how many Dieter Rams designs were featured there (including his work with Vitsoe)!

PS5's most recent State of Play made me realise that probably I will sell the console once I am done completing the games that I have and get bored with GT7 - seems that the Steam Deck would be more up my valley.

I don't think I have ever been more tempted to place a bid on auction - and I am not even remotely interested in fashion...

This shapes up to be a nice "gets the basics right" phone. Switching from an iPhone 13 mini to this seems like a good upgrade to me - better battery life, USB-C and more software updates down the line. iPhone 4/4S style is a nice bonus too.
