Yeah. Every field has a level where it's acceptable to not know it, but that level is WEIRDLY low for math. Plus, the only other one where ignorance is prideful is, I think, sociology (and that's just for culture war bullshit).

Once again thinking about how Math is the only subject I know of where you can say, "I can't really do that," with a vague tone of pride and that be considered socially/academically acceptable.
