Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

The only reason Gill stopped being the Reform UK leader in Wales was because he failed to win a seat in the 2021 Senedd election.

Zia Yusuf keeps trying to make this sound like this is ancient history, and Reform washed their hands of him, but nothing is further from the truth.

Today is the 4th anniversary of the worst ever tragedy in the Channel.

At least 27 men, women & children drowned in the freezing water, & 4 more have never been found.

Since then, neither we nor the French have done a thing to offer people in this situation with real solutions.

So @libdems.org.uk are in the middle of their conference - 3rd top story on the news this lunchtime ? REFORM again. Little challenge. One party being allowed to set the agenda again. It’s just pure promotion. Write to the broadcasters asking why every announcement by Ref is covered? Outrageous

Please RP if you think so.

Even worse if we don’t heed it now. #ClimateCrisis

I see four obvious weaknesses in this argument:

1. Le Pen's conviction involved abuse of elected office. A ban on running for elected office seems entirely appropriate. If nothing else, French public funds should be protected from embezzlement as assiduously as EU public funds.
The court is right. The law upon which it had to act may not be. Le Pen should be punished (as indeed she is), but still be allowed to run.

Trump never had a peace plan for Ukraine. He had a plan for Ukraine's surrender, with a colonial resource grab. As Zelenskyy rightly refused it, or to cooperate in Trump's TV spectacular, the US has now cut Ukraine off.
That's what blackmail looks like.
That's what the world is up against.
