A White woman called a Black child the n-word and raised half a million dollars in support, but we’re supposed to teach children that racism doesn’t exist.

Got it.

For nearly two months, Israel has carried out a total siege of Gaza, refusing to allow in a single truck of humanitarian aid or commercial goods – the longest period Israel has imposed such a total blockade.

Here is footage at the US consulate where Toronto police told us we aren't allowed to stand on our own sidewalks because it offends the American state.
These are our streets.
This is our country.

I'm altering my guess to Rod Loyola from Alberta.
I'm gonna guess Jordan McPhail, Sask NDP MLA for Cumberland. I don't think an MLA from a governing caucus in BC or Manitoba would quit for a chance at MAYBE forming government. And if it's Alberta, where are they running that's winnable? 1/2

Every single election that I can remember voting in all Liberals do is hold a gun to my head, labelled "abortion" while every day life gets worse for regular people like me because of their failed economic policies that enable social murder.

The way algorithms limit visibility of content on Palestine is genuinely so fucked up

Not only does it keep incredibly important stories from the public, but it creates a disincentive for metric-driven newsrooms when it comes to covering the genocide (on top of their pre-existing chickenshittery)

Yet people on the right scream the loudest about being silenced…

I’m begging people to think about why we have so many massive right-wing accounts and what it tells you about the money behind, institutional support for and algorithmic appeasement of those views.
1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed.

Put simply: the right-wing has narrative dominance.

My org @mmfa.bsky.social did this study and has been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...

I love how centuries of bitter hatred between the French and English boiled down into a sort of good natured sibling rivalry now.

Proportional representation doesn’t just change how many seats a party wins, but where.

Whether you're a Liberal in rural Alberta or a Conservative in downtown Toronto, you get the representation you vote for.

That's why we love PR-it bridges our divides.

I hate that every conservative pundit on every panel on every channel and podcast covering Canadian politics just opens their mouth and speaks with Poilievres voice. Its so boring. Its so unnuanced. Why are they even there at this point? We know what they're gonna say always.
