Reskeeting to amplify, following more intense study of the bill after midnight. I had the governor's bill from last year to compare, and the second skeet has screenshots.
The Iowa anti-trans bill, HSB 242, was released late Thursday afternoon. After reading later media coverage and seeing that parts of the stories were wrong, I realized that the bill's text (the exact modification of Iowa Code) and the explanation (the "plain English" summary) CONTRADICT EACH OTHER.
