Today marks the 5th anniversary of the end of the consultation on pavement parking, carried out under the last government.

We've seen no action when it comes to standing up for people walking and wheeling, who are unable to go about their daily lives safely and easily.

Thanks to open data, it's possible to look at what the spending on the cycle to work scheme is compared to other similar schemes, say vehicle salary sacrifice.
Both involve buying things before tax on wages so reducing your tax bill, giving an idea of the tax raising potential from each.

I've re-run my numbers & gutted to say they're worse than I thought. Best case scenario, each local authority could lay, one-way, between 2-300 metres of quality cycle track all things being equal. The reality is more budget split will drive numbers down
