SO much of the cultural and artistic nostalgia that society chases was just art made when people got paid to do it. Lavish movie posters made by human artists, video games made by people without sixteen different investment companies breathing down their neck, movies made by studios taking a chance.

I think this is a very insightful statement about what we call "AI" and will be chewing on it for a while
The fact that human language can be broken down on a mathematical level like this to such an extent, WITHOUT building a genuinely thinking mind behind it, is an immense and deeply unexpected discovery about language and cognition.

Been dealing with a bug around picking up large objects in game for days now. Tried everything from rewriting functions to completely redesigning object models only to realize, all I had to do was change a collision layer... 😂 Lesson learned, don't forget the simple things! #godotengine #indiedev

Doing a lot of furniture model tweaks and playing with the atmosphere before populating this next level, but really feeling in the momentum I've gained working on this weird little game of mine. Spent much of the weekend trying to fix an enemy patting issue in code only to finally solve it this morning in minutes be updating the navigation mesh because at one point I had moved some walls in the level. Sometimes you just gotta sleep on it. #godot #learning #indiedev

Decided to use odds and ends in the fridge to try making a bbq chicken pizza from scratch. Got a bit stuck to the peel putting it in the oven but still smells pretty good!

It is really really sinking in for me the degree to which LLMs are the ultimate expression of right wing anti-intellectualism. Its proponents are literally mocking the idea that anyone would ever want to learn anything, know anything, develop any actual skill, or have a thought of their own.
