Devastating. Tragic. And completely preventable.
Over my career, I've known 3 developers who have either died during crunch conditions or who had health problems that were exacerbated because of crunch that then led to their premature death.
This has to stop.

I think I’ve just assembled a recipe for hot vanilla mix. A bit of vanilla powder, some powdered milk, some malted milk powder, a dash of salt, some sugar or granulated sugar substitute… it works!
Now, to do some more testing. Then, I’ll scale it up and share the recipe. 👍

Everyone watch this video!!! It's perhaps the funniest Star Wars thing I've ever beheld and needs to be seen by many.
As someone who used to be fascinated by fringe theories, not as legit science or history but as "what if" scenarios, it's become so much more easier to see them for what they are: mechanisms for generating doubt, fear, & bigotry in the face of fact, reason, & inclusion.
You might not think it matters terribly much if people believe that there's a lost city under the pyramids, or that aliens drew the Nazca lines, but these tactics are all used by antivaxxers, climate change deniers & anyone else who's invested in delegitimising institutions to foment populist chaos.
Pseudo-archeology & the mystification of history for sometimes cynical, commercial or contrarian motives has been on the rise.
