Can someone please come explain the difference between a phone chime and a doorbell to my dog?!?

My niece left her iPad on noisy and Frankie has never heard a ringtone in her life. She’s going bonkers. #alwaysonsilent

In case anyone was ever in doubt of my dog’s dachshund lineage.

She would happily sleep like this for hours.

I didn’t realize how badly I needed to hear an elected official rage the way I’ve been raging lately until I heard this. Thank you, @pressley.house.gov.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley: Hands off our bodies. Hands off our data. Hands off our tax refunds. Hands off our Social Security checks. Hands off our Constitution. Hands off our democracy.

Looks like someone didn’t realize just HOW much comes into the US from China & Hong Kong. #moneytalks

1. I just researched this for a friend, thought I'd share. (via Indivisible). There are 3 ways Dem Sens can "slow things down." None prevent the vote, we're talking delays not denials. With cabinet nominees there's only a 51% vote needed...a change made when the GOP was obstructing Obama nominees. 🧵

When did inclusion become a threat?

Regardless of what this administration wants everyone to think, DEI is not about hiring unqualified individuals.

So the real question we should be asking is why are some so threatened by the idea of equitable opportunity for ALL qualified individuals? 🤔

When we rely on our elected officials to vote according to the people they represent, especially now, this week of confirmations has been disappointing. Seeing Hickenlooper on the list of Dems that voted to confirm a billionaire as Secretary of Treasury is especially awful.

The reason people think the term cisgender is a slur is because that’s how they use the term transgender.

I just can’t call it the Republican Party anymore. From here on out, I’m just referring to them as the King’s court.

DUI hire! 💀
BREAKING: The Senate has just voted to confirm Pete Hegseth, a drunken, out-of-control abuser, as the weakest Secretary of Defense in history.

This was the closest vote for SecDef, needing the weird couch guy to break the tie.

It's a sad day for America.
Hegseth is a DUI hire.

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**

* Currently paused by Executive Order
** Grant reviews now all canceled

Egg prices are soaring again. Here’s why and what to expect
Bird flu has killed millions of hens in recent weeks, shrinking the supply of eggs and hiking up prices at grocery stores.

The fact that my dog sleeps like this on a $3K+ mattress & adjustable base setup so I can avoid daily back pain (it works, btw!) feels like a personal attack.

The type of day I’ve had is always represented by the amount of mascara I have smeared under my eyes.

I wear it less frequently now to keep everyone guessing about my emotional state.

Like a reverse razzle dazzle.
