Schools went on lockdown, people stayed inside. It lasted the entire afternoon. A constant din of whistles, sirens, helicopters, people shouting. Or dead silence.
I see the NYT, New Yorker, commentariat frame it as "activists clashing with ICE."

Idk if I'm weird but I've only ever made chicken stock with the carcass and trim (like wing tips) after I roast a whole chicken. I didn't know people just plopped a whole chicken in a pot to make stock!
