This is all-hands on deck. RFK Jr. wants to destroy vaccination in the US. COVID and HBV vaccination were the first step. These diseases WILL come back. And your personal vaccination status is important, but so is the coverage in your community. So up your game and fight. www.vox.com/2015/3/25/82...

Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns.

Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.

Making capitalists “pay their fair share into society” means all of it. They do not produce. They own. Their fair share is nothing. Labor is entitled to all it creates. It’s important we understand this.

Congestion pricing in NYC has worked and has become popular. Cities like Boston should follow.

it is genuinely as if every article about a food poisoning outbreak hedged as to whether the bacteria found in the food actually made you sick. vaccine science has been settled since the late 18th century, and they’ve only gotten safer since then. what are we FUCKING DOING
It's notable that, even in an article critical of RFK Jr., the reporter hedges, saying "There’s no good evidence of serious, widespread harm from the vaccine" rather than just "vaccines are safe." RFK Jr. has made a career of exploiting the ambiguity of the former.

If you told me this was a psy-op to make me rethink my moral opposition to the death penalty, I would at least have to think hard about you being right.

really refreshing to hear a politician straight say immigration is good.
Zack Polanski, "Labour are a government of cowards because you won't tell people the truth about migration"

"Migration is a positive thing for our country"

"We need migration"

"We need fair and managed migration"

"And that's what will change this conversation"

Holy fucking shit. Under no circumstances do you have to give Trump credit on the fucking gestapo. Who the fuck is this for?
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

An Astonishing Graph
For most of human history, around 50% of children used to die before they reached the end of puberty. In 2020, that number is 4.

It's not like US television news is particularly pro Palestine, it clearly isn't, but Israel's behavior has been so atrocious and openly genocidal that even slanted news coverage on CNN makes Israeli behavior look awful.
Yeah I mean hell Christiane Amanpour has been showing footage of the totally obliterated neighborhoods of Gaza for literally two years, has done stories on the rapes at the Sde Teiman torture camp, interviewed Mustafa Barghouti, talked to Palestinians in East Jerusalem.

It is fascinating that a genuinely intelligent person like Clinton cannot fathom people just disagreeing with her based on the evidence, clearly this is a racial (and ideological) blindspot on her part, but this is true for pretty much everyone of her generation and of her particular elite cohort.

Between Scalia and Sam Alito, I think we can all agree that allowing Italians on the Supreme Court was, in retrospect, a grave mistake
Antonin Scalia Was a Diversity Hire
The late justice spent his career ridiculing the notion that elite institutions had any interest in diversity. He might not have made the Supreme Court without it.

Wild to me that anyone treated Antonin Scalia's opposition to affirmative action as sincere or intellectually honest, when all anyone did at his Supreme Court confirmation hearings was gush about how meaningful it was to FINALLY have an Italian American justice
