Sort of look like if Quentin Tarantino and Josh Gad had children
Q: “What’s the worst pick up line in history?”

A: “Hi. I’m Jelly Roll.”

Trump’s favorite musical is Les Mis. But he thinks Valjean is a worthless criminal and the Thenardiers are excellent business people.

There is no such thing as not political anymore. Your wacky facts podcasts should be wacky facts about fighting fascists otherwise they are part of the problem

Ooooo…

Apocalypse Now and Megalopolis.

Same filmmaker, same ambition, completely different results.

Great for an after viewing discussion over drinks!
Rear Window and The 'Burbs.

A double-feature for shenanigans in the neighborhood, a bit of suspense and a bit of comedy!
if you inherited a movie theater, what's your first double feature?

Here’s something I don’t get. The X Files was one of the most popular shows of the 90s. Trust me, I was a kid and it was EVERYWHERE. It was as popular as things Seinfeld, Friends, and The Simpsons. But now no one talks about it. Why?

Rise of Skywalker was pretty bad but the first two films in the new trilogy hold up pretty well. Toxic fanboys just hated being called out via Kylo Ren.
When it came out, I felt The Force Awakens cut world-building corners to repeat A New Hope, but 10 years on, its depiction of a world where embittered fanboys lean into totalitarianism and extremely recent history has been forgotten (if not repressed) seems prescient. My bad, JJ Abrams.

I remember seeing Batman Forever in theaters WAAAY back in the day and honestly, Kilmer is an underrated Batman. He made for a terrific Bruce Wayne and his take on Batman not as a separate entity (like others have done) but as Bruce Wayne barely keeping it together was unique.

Rick Astley did backing vocals for “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from the Lion King.

Now you know that.

“Look up here, man, I’m in danger.”
May we all find it in ourselves to bring the same energy to our own circumstances that David Bowie brought to a children’s birthday party.

And this, children, is what we call a “mic drop.”
I’ll give it a shot.
Clever.....you should try writing.

Favorite film genre - Nicole Kidman starring with a Doctor (of Doctor Who fame.)

There are only two films in this genre but that means it’s been consistently good so far.
Favorite film genres:

1. Fight between neighbors, eventually they unite against third neighbor

2. Guy who cries at really weird moments

3. Romance set in Jiffy Lube

4. Argghh everyone’s molecules are dissolving (musical)

5. Broccoli farmers rebellion!!
Favorite film genres:

1. Monster is an analogy for trauma

2. Cursed object forces moral quandary

3. Arthouse psychosexual nightmare

4. The real monster was us all along

5. Road movie!!!

He has more foresight and planning abilities than DOGE.

You people would be fine if that fart movie from Idiocracy existed and say, “Well, just because you didn’t find it funny doesn’t mean it’s not funny!” In fact, you know what, if you’re going to use that excuse for a bad movie, that’s all you should be allowed to watch.

“It was made for children/teenagers/people who like sports!” is giving carte blanche for people to be lazy and not challenge either themselves or their audience. Is that what you want?
February 19, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Because it just happened AGAIN, I feel a need to remind everyone: Defending a bad film by saying “It wasn’t made for you!” IS COMPLETELY INVALID! We’re talking about artistic expression here, not product, and that statement implies you can’t even understand that. #myTEDtalk

And far fewer Cotton Hills. They can’t even justify their racism by reminding everyone who took their shins.
