You just had a fucking chance to hold them accountable, and you caved. And don't give me the "I didn't vote for it" crap. You did nothing to stop them, which means you're happy they dud it but wanted deniability.
1. We need to fight hard for a good ACA extension early in December and hold Republicans fiercely accountable if they betray everyone.

Outstanding news. One of the biggest weapons the boss has, when fighting unions, is playing for time. Congratulations and solidarity to the @pghguild.com members and leaders who stayed strong all this time. It ain't easy.
BREAKING: We won!

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

again, if chuck schumer wants to energize Ds for the fight ahead, the absolute best thing he could do is resign.

This is another thing that I think ought to be considered in terms of the exchange @kcolempls.bsky.social, @dbrauer.net, and I, along with others, had over the weekend.
Unfortunately still true bsky.app/profile/adam...
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

Chuck Schumer is a miserable failure
Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

Of course lots of folks want Schumer primaried. But due to his behavior, there may be some confusion, so remember, if he runs, it'll be in the 2028 Democratic primary, not the Republican one.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

One of the things the very strongest and the very weakest unions have in common is they don’t go on strike. The weak ones can’t, while the strong ones don’t need to because the boss knows they can.

MFE striking in 2022 set up this win last night.
