There never was, is, nor will be any need for police to keep getting more militarised. Society never asked for cops to start seriously thinking they're soldiers, but if they want to act like an occupying army in their own country I hope they enjoy inevitably being treated like one by all and sundry.

Funny how people are up in arms about immigrants in the Superman movie. When the main character is an immigrant that's not born in this country. Heck, he isn't even born on this planet.
