I think the way to turn this administration’s tanking polls around is to have this creep talk about his plans for our children as much as possible.

It's a matter of resources and national strategy. You might think AOC would be better than Schumer - maybe she would be! - but spending millions of dollars to have a civil in NY, and generating national headlines about the Dems moving left, will have effects in other places.
I think the Democrats can absolutely get a better senator out of NY than Schumer, yes.
Too many people don't seem to understand the idea of who the candidates will caucus with in the House and Senate. The odds that Murkowski's replacement would be a Democrat are, ah, low. (Manchin's gone. Are the Democrats better off?)
