Selon un rapport dirigé par l’économiste Joseph Stiglitz et commissionné par l’Afrique du Sud, qui occupe la présidence du G20, dont les dirigeants se réunissent ce week-end à Johannesburg, les inégalités mondiales reculent mais demeurent très élevées. Depuis 2000, la fortune moyenne des 1 % les plus riches a augmenté en moyenne de 1,3 million de dollars – contre 585 dollars pour les 50 % les plus pauvres.
