So much of Star Trek can be traced to the fact that I think so many guy writers just wanna fuck Spock & don't know how to handle it. Even Asimov once wrote a piece about how "Spock is hot because he's smart, but I'm smart so why don't I get ladies" but it reads like a love letter to Spock's hotness.
