I went ahead and fixed this tweet by Pierre Poilievre to be a bit more truthful.

This nurse is a bigot.

Bigotry is not allowed in the workplace, simple as.

Importantly, the authors identify that behavioural kindness without matching teleology (kind intent),

'...which create the underlying conditions for fake kindness... will also foster a context propitious to bullying.'

I think that's the pitfall of behavioural #BeKind and #Civility strategies.🤔

Behavioural kindness- outward actions of caring- can act as symbolic violence that reinforce power by limiting social repertoire available to recipients.

Teleological kindness is action motivated by an *intent* to help.

Behavioural kindness without teleology= enforced 'niceness' or 'civility'.

Re-upping this fab paper from @faussenurse.bsky.social @drnursenat.bsky.social and Joanna Schilling. Relevant to medicine as much as nursing, they distinguish behavioural kindness from teleological kindness.

Dear God this woman is a vile PoS on many levels, isn’t she?

She needs to be getting the boot for any number of reasons - certainly doesn’t strike me as a fit person to be a nurse.
The Courier reports on Sandie Peggie's racist posts, where she used the term "p*kis" and said that, following devistating floods, Pakistan looked like a "giant bowl of coco pops".

Sandie Peggie is supported in her case by Sex Matters.

EXCLUSIVE: NHS Fife nurse Sandie Peggie mocked victims of Pakistan floods in series of racist posts
The offensive messages, detailed below, emerged in an evidence bundle seen by The Courier at the tribunal in Dundee.

Baltimore hospital nurses make history with first-ever strike
On July 24, nurses at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital walked off the job in a powerful one-day strike organized by National Nurses United. Over 50 nurses took to the picket lines in the city's first-ever nurses' strike, demanding the working conditions they deserve and the patient care standards the community needs. The Baltimore Peoples Power Assembly joined the striking nurses on the line, along with many supporters from across the city.
