I am the captain of my soul…

Sometimes, in the midst of adversity, your will or spirit is broken. And, sometimes, you just need something to hold onto while finding your lost beautiful soul that was within you all along.

Repeat after me…
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul
Ending 2025 pouring mad love into myself boarding an international flight to a beautiful island.

And, will continue to do so in the brand new year as a Black woman deserving of this space!

Cheers! 🤸🏾‍♀️💫

When monks leave their monasteries to walk for peace, it's not symbolic, it's a warning‼️
They carry nothing but what's given to them‼️
The fact that Buddhist monks are walking for peace in America should make us all pause‼️
This is serious‼️

Proud mom moment…

I noticed very early watching my daughter playing ‘doctor’ with her stuffed toys and dolls with my stethoscope. In 3rd grade she declared at school on career day her desire to be a NeuroSurgeon

In 2 weeks, she take the MCAT Exam for medical school.

And, just like that, I had lunch at Melba’s in Harlem with my favorite PhD Researcher from across the pond, Dr. Calvin Moorley, PhD, RN and Churchill Fellow.

Love the collaboration and friendship!!

In this space called life…

I’ve been through too much adversity and still thrived despite the challenges confronted in my own journey.

I never looked back standing up as a Black woman speaking up on my behalf and for others.

I’m still standing, I’m still here.

But, God…
