What's written vs. what's actually reasonably ENFORCEABLE is an important distinction.
Just because a contract says "we're not allowed to use AI" doesn't mean it's possible for the actors to take action without bankrupting themselves if it's violated.
Interim Agreements PROVIDE that legal support.

There are many contracts out there with AI protections, but only SAG Interim & Tiered Budget Contracts provide actors with a legal team to enforce the contract at no cost. Legal fees are expensive, and many actors would have to go into debt to enforce our own contracts if they were violated.

I'd like to clarify that there's a difference between being "struck" and not being on an Interim Agreement. Union projects that began work prior to the strike & non-union projects are not "struck." But they also do not offer the Union-enforced AI rights we are fighting for.
