When Trump blames someone else it's a tell: he knows it is his fault. Trump is incompetent, and his mismanagement of our government has led to preventable deaths in the past— there's no reason to think it isn't still happening today. We don't need to debate the merits of his racist blame-shifting.

I know it feels really wrong to order your AG to release a Special Counsel report because that’s been a bad thing to do for so long. But the Supreme Court says it’s okay now. It’s legal. It’s an official act.

A key asymmetry of this era of American politics and how it’s covered is that Trump is expected to do bad and corrupt things, so when he does it barely qualifies as news. But Dems are expected to be beyond reproach, so anything that seems even slightly suspect is a huge scandal.
