For parents of pre-teen/teenage kiddos, I highly recommend this book. The Anxious generation by Jonathan Haidt should make us rethink smartphones altogether, but especially for our kids.

I just read a study that the children born between 1930 and 1971 who had high levels of lead (thanks largely to car exhaust) often suffer from conduct disorders: “a persistent pattern of aggressive, antisocial, and rule-violating behaviors” I think we may have found the source of our problem.

Just wanted to say how impressed I have been with @melaniejolycan.bsky.social’s tenure as minister of foreign affairs. She leaves big shoes to fill. Her departure fills me with concern for Canada and the world. I hope @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social is just as adept in these precarious times.
