I loathe Farage, but this feels like a weak and desperate line of attack. Many people would look back on their teenage years with embarrassment (god knows, I do).

It's more the fact that he probably still believes this shit that's the problem.

I've always argued that Johnson was responsible for tens of thousands of deaths through his incompetent and chaotic handling of COVID. He was also responsible for selling the country down the river via Brexit, and destroying the Tory party.

What really pisses me off about the mainstream 'left of centre' parties in the UK and US is how fundamentally faulty their analysis of the current political system is. They ignore the causes of our current problems and focus on responding to the most extreme symptoms.
November 20, 2025 at 8:04 AM
I'm not sure what's saddest about this - the obsession with comics and superheroes, or the fact they blocked replies.

The internet didn't quite destroy humanity, so they invented AI to finish the job.

True this, if poorly worded.

I think Democrats are calling this wrong, as usual. ICE are the equivalent of Hitler's SA - his brown shirts or stormtroopers. They're a paramilitary force that's practising on immigrants before they're applied to anyone who opposes Trump/Project 2025.

Yet another way in which Starmer has wasted the opportunity, and majority, of a lifetime - in this case by failing to plan in opposition how he would fix the country in government.

Astronomers using ML discover HAL 9000. . .
Nope. The headline should actually read “Astronomers using ML discover quasars acting as lenses”

I mean, what does he expect? The extent of his lack of political nous is vast - you can see it from the fucking moon.

It's like me trying to fix a nuclear reactor - I'd just be bumbling around with no Idea what I was doing. Eventually there'd be an explosion.

What's a book that you re-read every few years? Aside from Vonnegut and 1984, this is one for me. One of the best 'first contact' books I've ever read. It's always stayed with me. Surprised a film has never been made out of it.

Another underrated and misunderstood film. A loving and witty tribute to those old Edgar Rice Burroughs-style films of the early 20th century. Ernie Hudson is brilliant in it.

What was that, Rachel? You want to 'raise billions'?

I have an idea for you. . .

TAX THE FUCKING RICH!!!
When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

If you don't stand up against foreigners attacking the very fabric of British culture, you can't claim to be a patriot.

If you march to 'stop the boats' but won't protest against Trump's attack on the BBC, you're not a patriot, you're just a sad racist.
