I mean, to be fair, there is a *lot* of alpha in the Iliad, but only in an untranslated version, which I doubt Musk can read.

Bismuth *would* be in Cancer Alley, except no known living creatures have the 10^19 or so year lifespan needed for bismuth to affect them that way.

In the meantime, many local businesses in the Portland area are stepping up to help feed anyone losing their food assistance benefits.
I’m highlighting a few East Portland specific businesses and organizations where SNAP recipients can either get a free meal or groceries.

I was able to get out safely with my cat Valentino. I’m being supported by my wonderful friends, neighbors, and loved ones as I navigate what comes next.
The incident is under active investigation, including as a possible arson. I’ll share more information as it becomes available.

This is absolutely brutal and likely ends Harvard as a serious choice for any prospective chemist.
Admissions to my chemistry Ph. D. program (U of Illinois, early 1990s) were something like 50/year. I think there were individual research groups who added 4 students in a single year in some years.

The administration is vilifying the local cops in Portland who keep trying to work with them but won't make up statistics or arrest people who aren't breaking the law. The reason there are modest numbers of arrests, Noem suggests, is that the cops are in on it!

Nor is it just MAHA. I remind you, for example, that chapter 12 of Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny" is LITERALLY titled "Make Eye Contact and Small Talk." He says this is "not just polite. It is part of being a citizen and a responsible member of society.”
To resist, I guess, don't be autistic.
