Happy to see takes on Bluesky & even more recent YouTube videos are mostly reasonable & fair to the game. I agree it cannot possibly live up to the trilogy on its own, but I love what it sets out to do. Fundamentally different to play an explorer than enter En Media Res of Milky Way politics
Whenever I finish this I cannot wait to go read & watch why this game is so widely unpopular. A couple reasons crossing my mind already, it’s fairly different from the trilogy & I see why it’s not named ME4. But I think it’s an excellent spin-off while still being worthy of the series title

My biggest ask for the next Mass Effect game is to stop locking us into playing as a human. So many interesting other races in space, it would be awesome to play as any of them. So many other RPGs to take that blueprint from too. Unique prequels like in DAO would be perfect

Well at least the Philadelphia Union’s giant controversy involving a problematic slur-user in the club happened at the end of the season, making it convenient & easy to cut ties with that person. Surely the Philadelphia Union would never miss that kind of layup to move on from such a person

I am extremely guilty of underrating Maxi’s entire career in the league
Maxi is inevitable against the Union in the playoffs (4 goals, 2 assists in 4 playoff games vs Philly now)
