30 years ago today Israel's then prime minister, Yitzhak Rabin, was assassinated by a right-wing Jewish extremist, after a campaign of incitement against Rabin led by Netanyahu. Tragically, Rabin's murder deprived the Oslo peace process of the one Israeli leader who could have enabled it to succeed.

You can’t be for Jewish safety and use dog whistles like “globalist.” And you can’t claim you have zero tolerance for antisemitism while winking and waving at it so long as it’s sufficiently subtle.

We do not join Jonathan Greenblatt in thanking the Heritage Foundation's President Kevin Roberts for trying to have it both ways.

You can’t condemn antisemitism and not condemn those ushering it into the mainstream.

The logic that helped Israeli liberals commit genocide
By attaching a military goal to each act of killing, Israelis of all stripes could partake in the slaughter without questioning the morality of their actions.

A third of U.S. Jewish people say they don’t feel safe, and two-thirds report seeing antisemitic content online at least once a month, a Washington Post poll finds.

I do not opine on this from some lofty arena where Jews are not targets. No such place exists.

This hateful antisemitic vandalism in Minneapolis is alarming and unacceptable.

Targeting synagogues with anti-Zionist/anti-Israel slogans isn’t political activism — it’s harassing and threatening Jewish communities.

I was very glad to write this article and I hope people pay attention to it. It’s very important.
“Uttering, promoting, and in some cases even tolerating anti-Israel rhetoric that crosses the line into anti-Semitism does double damage,” @ibishblog.bsky.social argues: both fueling violent attacks and tarring the pro-Palestinian movement.
Anti-Semitism Is Poison for the Palestinian Cause
No good will come to the pro-Palestinian movement from any association with violent attacks.

Trump does deserve some credit here. But Netanyahu does not want peace, and it’s about as simple as that.

The ceasefire in Gaza, now in effect, depends on the promise given by an inveterate liar and conman (Trump) to a ruthless terrorist organization (Hamas) that he will prevent another serial liar, conman, and war criminal (Netanyahu) from resuming the war:
Trump promised not to let Israel break Gaza ceasefire to get deal
Israel broke one ceasefire. Trump told the mediators he wouldn't let it happen this time.

It's 9am in Israel and I'm standing on a hill in Sderot looking into Gaza and hearing the sounds of distant explosions and seeing dust clouds and plumes of smokes. The war hasn't ended yet.

Very happy and relieved that a ceasefire-hostage agreement has been reached and that all the hostages will be home soon. I hope that the second phase of Trump's plan will also be implemented. That will be much harder to do than the first phase. The pressure on both sides must be sustained.

The deadly antisemitic attack in Manchester today has the hallmarks of a jihadist terrorist attack. Islamic State (IS), in particular, has encouraged its supporters to use vehicle rammings as a deadly weapon, and there have been many attacks by IS supporters using vehicle rammings and stabbings.
