Nobody ever foresees needing any kind of insurance (and don't worry, this isn't a sales pitch) and so they especially don't think they'll need event insurance for their wedding! But trust me, as a wedding planner, you do! You should get the insurance.

If you think merit-based and lack of diversity are synonymous, you’re telling on yourself, babies.

I see a lot of people across social and news media right now, telling folks to take a deep breath, touch grass, don’t crash out—that this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint. I understand what they’re saying, but at the same time I have been a federal employee (in research)…

Planning weddings for queer people, in continuing to celebrate queer love and joy in the face of oppression, is significant work and I take great pride in it. It’s something to hang onto when my anxiety is honestly through the roof.

It can be extremely hard to work when it feels like the least important thing in the world, so I feel so lucky to have work that in itself is an act of resistance.

“A Hitler salute is a Hitler salute is a Hitler salute,” the prominent German weekly Die Zeit wrote in an editorial.

Also, in related news, a clownish dick is a clownish dick.

What Elon Musk’s Salute Was All About
A gesture associated with the Nazis has a surprising history. But in Germany, there was little doubt about its meaning.

I think it’s both. Do the harm and do as much of it at once to overwhelm and exhaust.
People keep saying “the point of all this stuff is psychological warfare” but like I’m pretty sure the point is to do all the things they intend to do as fast as possible like their website said they would do

The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

Queer weddings are my passion and I can tell you my clients are scared, eloping just in case, but will having weddings to celebrate queer love! We’ve always been here and we continue the fight!
Officiated one of several pre-inauguration queer weddings. People are scared. But people are standing together, and love is awesome regardless.

Stop using age as an excuse to not be on the pulse of media. Plenty of people of all age groups manage to be “with it.” It’s not your age. It’s okay to admit you just don’t care about those things or don’t want to care.
