It's a bit black over Bill's mother's.

A different type of day out. And seats right by the action.

A day out! A favourite play!

What? You mean we actually had decent weather for a bank holiday weekend?

I thought blackbirds were the messiest bathers, but a pair of magenpies have almost completely emptied the bird bath.

A day out. An assortment of railway stations. A bird on a post.

I've recently changed podcast app, and so all of Page 94 episodes have reappeared. I'm enjoying dipping into them in a random fashion. Episode 71 suggests an update will be forthcoming in July 2025. I trust it is in hand?!

In Mornington Crescent, invoking the Chatham House Rule requires that four of the last five stations are exclusively on the District Line. Thereafter each player has to act like they can’t remember the other contestants previous selections. Its occurrence in the game is mercifully rare.

And now I've had 6 starlings in the bird bath. Which I now need to refill: they're as messy bathers as blackbirds. More so, since they were in quantity.
I think I just heard a swift! And now there's an annoyed blackbird on the fence. But a swift! On May day!

Week 4 saw more trains, another library knit and natter, another book club, another pub, and offering up a sleeve to see if it was long enough.

Week 3 done, with two pub visits, some darning, and the completion of a lacy scarf. Crochet 🧶 every day in March.

Week 2 of my Alzheimer's Research challenge was much quieter, with most of my 🧶 crochet being done at home. But it's the Bluebell Railway branch line weekend, so some gricing was needed.

Week 1 went well, with crochet in the gardens at Glyndebourne, in a train, at a local library knit & natter, at book club in the pub, and on the sofa at home.

To support a good cause, and to hopefully get some of my WIPs turned into finished objects, I'm aiming to knit or crochet every day in March.

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm taking on Knit Every Day in March -- although I'm probably going to be doing as much crochet as knitting -- to raise money for the one million people th...

I've discovered that pomegranate seeds in a G&T are as good as, if not better than, a lava lamp.

Do you think I can get away with using these four together?

Well, people arrived, they stayed, they left again, and I didn't kill any of them. Chalk that up as a positive.

Can I claim justifiable homicide? A bit like the divorce in the advert for Bendicks.

We have visitors coming on Friday for dinner. I'm absolutely frozen with terror. I can cook. I can cook for numbers of people. But somehow this time I'm completely blank.

Few wildlife spectacles epitomise the brutality of the natural world quite like the sight of a black-headed gull, carrying a croissant the size of its head, being chased by eight herring gulls over Morrison’s car park.
