Congress has no business interfering in the laws of the District of Columbia.

As millions struggle to afford healthcare and basic necessities, MAGA lawmakers are attempting to overhaul DC's democratically passed statutes.

These bills are an affront to Home Rule and Congress must vote them down.
This week the House is set to vote on two bills targeting D.C.'s criminal justice laws. One would repeal a 2020 city law that imposed new training, discipline, and disclosure standards on police. The other would bring cash bail back to D.C. 30 years after it was eliminated.
We stand united against all 13 anti–DC Home Rule bills in Congress.

DC is home to more than 700,000 residents who pay taxes, run businesses, and serve in the military. Like all Americans, we deserve the right to set our own local laws.

Congress should reject this unprecedented federal overreach.

I was on the ground earlier today at the Petworth Metro Station after I received troubling reports from neighbors about IRS Criminal Investigation agents working with Transit Police to interrogate riders on WMATA buses.

Every sign in DC marks the loss of someone’s neighbor, someone’s loved one, someone’s friend.

Every sign marks yet another step toward authoritarianism. wapo.st/4nJqjZQ
Signs popping up around D.C. note: ‘ICE kidnapping happened here’
The signs range in style and mark numerous locations where people have been taken by federal agents.

Whoa, big news here. Muriel Bowser is not on track to be re-elected.
Her active cooperation with Trump is detestable to most Washingtonians and it's right here in the numbers.
Here's the results: It was conducted by a coalition of labor unions, many of which supported Bowser in '22, and they found very worrying numbers for her.

53% say she's not doing a good job as mayor and she loses 59-40 (!) against a generic challenger.

It's campaign finance report day! We're getting our first numbers now that we've had a lot of movement in 2026 races.

Only one online so far is @aparnafordc.bsky.social and her numbers are quite something: $29k from DC donors, which means she will easily qualify for the 5x matching funds.

We visited more than 40 Senate offices today and it's working. We're hearing more and more Senators ready to VOTE NO on this bad funding bill attempting to sabotage DC's local budget. Now we need to see it all the way through.

Elon Musk is speaking from the Oval Office as if he’s in charge! Nobody voted for him, but he’s gutting our government and attacking our federal workers.

We need YOU to tell your reps to support these workers against Musk’s attacks: socialists.nyc/stop-musk/?s...
Asked to respond to people who say he's orchestrating a hostile takeover of government, Elon Musk lies that "a majority of the public voted for President Trump"
