this!
I don't think we understand just how bad the decline of the Internet is to knowledge.

3 years ago, I could perform a very basic search in any engine and get an absurd number of relevant links, research articles, etc.

Today, I can perform the same search and find absolutely nothing.

If genocide isn't your redline, then you have no redlines.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed temporarily as tens of thousands of Australians made their voices heard against Israel's genocide in Gaza. #FreePalestine #3E

This is a very comprehensive breakdown of alternatives to US tech. Like with the boycott of US groceries and other products, A boycott doesn't need to be perfect in order to be successful. Switching to any one of these alternatives makes a difference!
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

I find myself completely unable to function today. I’ve seen a child surrounded by the flames of what was her family home. Starving babies. Defeated, broken men. Women cradling their shrouded children. It’s too much. And yet I still have to hear ‘but Hamas..’ FUCK OFF. Israel is committing genocide

Previous example was Fatima Payman, held up by Labor as a great moment in diversity, first woman in a headscarf, who questioned the govt’s stance on Gaza, spoke up for Labor’s *actual* policy, and found herself in the bin.

Never believe the parties when they boast of their noble gestures.

Never forget how many of those advising the ALP are patting themselves on the back for ensuring the govt did nothing in this.

“Not an issue/we made sure it hurt the Greens”

Those doing so are truly putrid. At best excusing murder, at worst cheering for it.

“Get out the way”, “Look in the mirror”, “Greens political party”.
Albanese has no intention of forming a better relationship with the Greens. Looks like he’d prefer to bitch about them than pass progressive legislation.
It’s a very dark reflection on the state of Australian politics that Labor (including Albanese) seem more satisfied with defeating Bandt than Dutton.

Progressive voters are tricking themselves into thinking this election was a great result, but Australia’s centre of gravity keeps going right.

In memory of Peter Dutton's political career, here's a cartoon from Eureka Street in 2022 when he became leader of the Opposition and was trying (again) to soften his image.

Relieved Dutton’s out? Handy reminder: Albanese’s Labor government is, at best, complacent, at worst, complicit in Israel’s genocide. Gaza is being bombed, starved, ethnically cleansed. Voting out morally bankrupt leaders isn’t enough—we must still hold power to account for the most vulnerable.
