Am I to understand Matt Christman is back on the most recent episode of Chapo Trap House? By God, I’ve missed him.

I went to Palm Springs but unfortunately took my first case of strep throat with me. I did and saw a lot, but wore myself out after just a few days. Urgent care confirmed diagnosis upon my return home.

I’m going to Europe next year so I think I’ll shoot for Palm Springs Pride 2027.

Oh hey, it’s #LetterboxdFriday and my #LastFourWatched makes for an interesting bunch.

I hadn’t seen “Happy-Go-Lucky” since it came out about 17 years ago, but it’s better than I remembered and easily my favorite of the bunch. I recommend it to literally anyone, it’s a great li’l movie.

Still haven't settled on a poolside read for Palm Springs. Maybe "Tom's Crossing," the new book by the author of "House of Leaves"?

I read "House of Leaves" earlier this year and genuinely think it is the best book I've ever read.

It’s #LetterboxdFriday and my #LastFourWatched stretches back to August.

I had mixed-negative feelings about “Eddington.” I never rate movies - the scale’s too subjective to be consistent - but very much liked the others for differing reasons.

I enjoyed the first episode of “Ha Ha, You Clowns” - it could prove to share some very basic DNA with “King of the Hill.” We’ll see!

Just learned a former co-worker attempted to - yea, unsuccessfully - legally change their name to Franklin Big Pooper.

Trip to Palm Springs just a few weeks away now - looking forward to the resort, the restaurants, and Pride.

If anyone knowledgeable sees this - anything or place I shouldn’t miss in Palm Springs?

Sorta look like the Great Value version of the Legion of Doom, but that’s Todd McFarlane’s handiwork for you.

The millisecond better alternatives materialize, these will be melted down into a hardened plastic wad to be hurled at neighborhood kids. Save the DC Direct Scarecrow in the back.

Takin’ a break to drink some hot herbal tea and poot hot stinky protein farts in the coffee house while Radiohead plays

Last week, McFarlane Toys continued their death rattle with some new reveals - including the “leaked” third wave of Superfriends figures.

My current Hanna-Barbera fixation has kept me interested in these, particularly the Alex Toth-designed Legion of Doom members.

Ordered a few new Todd Sanfield pieces for my sojourn to Palm Springs in a couple of months.

My resort’s clothing optional but it’ll take some getting used to, no doubt. Plus, I don’t wanna sunburn in the worst conceivable places!

For better or worse, I’ve been listening to Lord Huron’s “The Yawning Grave” on repeat all evening/night.

Wow, Robert Redford. RIP.

I’ve now read two Victorian era-set pieces of fiction - a novel and graphic novel, respectively - wherein the third act has a locomotive transform into a humanoid automaton.

I cannot articulate how profoundly stupid I find this.

Both pieces put out by major publishers, one this year, one in 2013.

In 2023, I watched 69 films (nice) per my Letterboxd.

In 2024, 98.

2025? 8 thus far.

I've spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about the future of Jada Toys' "Scooby Doo" toy line after receiving two of their first wave of figures this week. What follows is just be exorcising my speculation combined with some research to see what the future might hold.

These are just phenomenal. There’s nothing about them I don’t like … closest to a gripe is I’ll never ever ever display them with their unmasked heads.

Pretty cool day so far

My Jada “Scooby-Doo” Creeper and Mummy of Anka were delivered earlier this morning. Looking forward to getting home to them!

Finally reading Devon Price’s “Unmasking Autism,” about 40% through it. Geez, I wish I’d started it sooner so I could have a jump on internalizing a lot of this, especially with regards to shame.

“TAX2 “ line item showing up on my store receipts, separate from standard local sales tax rate. The TAX2 line seems to hover a little over 4%.

Straight up “national sales tax.” Tariffs. This is what happens when morons vote in a senile pedophilic convicted felon rapist.

Katherine Heigl was in an ad hocking women’s diapers (aka piss-sopper britches for yer cooter) in a TV ad. Goddamn, that’s some “end of ‘Tar’”-level shit.
