Mookie Betts is feeling better today and has managed to keep solid foods down, Dave Roberts says. As of now they plan to have him play in tomorrow's Freeway Series closer, which would have him in line to play on Opening Day. He's started a new medication, which could be having an effect.

In case you didn't know (or had forgotten): In 1983, the NIT used an ABA-style ball and a 30-second shot clock (also a nod to the ABA) throughout its tournament.

by the way, the reason jackie robinson's legacy is so well-known is because his wife, rachel, made sure that his service to our country (in a multitude of ways) would not be forgotten or diminished after his death. rachel robinson is now 102 years old and still attends jackie robinson day events.

Call me crazy…But doesn’t it seem counterproductive for MLB to have these showcase games (Japan, Korea, Field of Dreams) but they won’t let you watch games of your favorite teams unless you live 900 miles outside an arbitrary geographic zone
