nuh nuh nuh nuh, nuh nuh, nuh nuh, Can't touch this! I have to get a smaller sized pair of jeans! Take that Father Time! Your boy is getting his mojo back. ;-)

@sixftjamie.bsky.social You love frogs. This is still a good one. :)

It's COLD here in North Carolina (almost freezing!), and that means I'll be assiduously avoiding outdoor chores (ok, that's an excuse). But I'll make time from 4-6 eastern to listen to our friend Marc Hurwitz @marchurboston.bsky.social on markskinradio.com remind us why alt-rock is so good. Try it!

Life with Misty, Volume Environmental Adaptation:
Utah Misty: It's 12 degrees, I'm at 5500 ft. of elevation. I think I'll go for a run.
Me: Are you nuts? That's a death sentence.
Utah Misty: What's the big dill?

North Carolina Misty: Is it cold outside?
Me: Yes. 34 degrees.
Misty: Damn it's cold.

Well done Iain! Misty really did enjoy Zombies. If horror is your thing, I can highly suggest Zombies Wha Hae. It is here. www.amazon.com/Zombies-Wha-...

@cpaone.bsky.social Drake Maye is delivering the lumber. I thoroughly enjoyed that game. :)

Did you see this one Herre @herrem.bsky.social? This is our cat Natasha, shortly after Misty saved a lizard from her. She was not happy. :)

@sheilaeyoung1.bsky.social I've already posted this one, but this is my beautiful boy and Misty's beautiful girl from the wedding. After the fake rehearsal dinner, Jason and his girlfriend took Beach out for a night on the town, and I think she was hooked. Jason is probably the perfect ambassador.

Killing the goose that laid the golden egg. This administration is a disaster of truly epic proportions.

You never know when it will come in handy to have a Boston restaurant critic for a friend. Marc Hurwitz @marchurboston.bsky.social gave me a perfect restaurant recommendation. He's also a master curator of alt-rock, & he'll be spinning wax on markskinradio.com from 4-6 eastern. Catch it if you can!

For my friend
@sixftjamie.bsky.social, words that popped into my head a propos of nothing:

It sucks getting old
Despite what you were told

But when you wake up stiff and cold
And feel like you've been rolled

It sucks getting old
But fortune favours the bold

My latest for NBC has the feel of some of the long-lost NH restaurants that were rustic, family-friendly, road trip-worthy spots with tons of charm and reasonable prices. www.nbcboston.com/eat-new-engl...

Rustic roadside dining between 2 mountains not far from Boston
This out-of-the-way spot harkens back to the days of unpretentious roadside family restaurants focusing on service, value and food that’s good for the soul.

Studies in things you learn when you don't sleep:
"Run" is the most complex word in the English language. It has 625 different uses. Run a company, run a computer program, go for a run, colours run in the wash, etc etc.

If you're looking for a really good time (sarcasm mode activated), wash an ancient, senile dog that is more fur than dog and have her proceed to wig out because of something you did to her. This is the most stressed I've ever seen her.

@sheilaeyoung1.bsky.social this is one of our neighbours. I think they're trying to challenge the tall boy for Halloween preeminence. There are literally a hundred skulls scattered about the ground. It is brutal. ;-)

I took the princess out for one last wizzer of the night, and sat quietly on the screenhouse porch while she did her business, and someone down the block was having a party with a live band. They were singing War Pigs by Black Sabbath. I love this town. :)

My friend Jamie, a truly adventurous spirit, has a new video about her motorcycling adventures. It's worth a look!
