@sheilaeyoung1.bsky.social I've already posted this one, but this is my beautiful boy and Misty's beautiful girl from the wedding. After the fake rehearsal dinner, Jason and his girlfriend took Beach out for a night on the town, and I think she was hooked. Jason is probably the perfect ambassador.

In 2014, we had a freak heavy snowstorm pop up out nowhere in the middle of the day, and everybody bailed for home from work as fast as they could. It was called snowpocalypse now. ;-)

He was commander of the "overmountain men" who came back from the mountains of NC/Tennessee to shove the English out of North Carolina too. English General Cornwallis described the battle as being like fighting a swarm of hornets, hence the basketball team name. Benjamin Cleveland.

I'd say, "Oh shit!" Except I'm the one who had that coffee cup made for her, so I guess I can't complain at this point. ;-)

@sheilaeyoung1.bsky.social Four bluesky friends. @pamnation.bsky.social, who came from Ohio, @mistybrown.bsky.social (I'm the ugly one in the middle), and the photo was taken by the spectacular @cpaone.bsky.social, who came from Boston and will be a witness at the wedding.

In lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we went for pizza and beer at our local, and this picture is four people who all met on social media. Pam came from Ohio, Misty from Utah, I'm the ugly one in the middle. The picture was taken by my friend @cpaone.bsky.social who came from Boston for us.

Our great friend @larshoel.bsky.social, completely unbidden, sent us this wonderful gift to help us celebrate our wedding! Thank you Lars! :)

A great friend that Misty and I met here on Bluesky sent us a _spectacular_ wind chime to celebrate our wedding. Holy cow! It sounds like church bells!

Me after watching Master Chef once. ;-)

After a day of many accomplished goals, including the marriage license (and accomplished on two hours sleep for me), Misty and I wanted to celebrate but were too fried to go out to dinner, so the master of meat on sticks marinated some beef fillet, and Misty rounded out the program. A great day!

Our spectacular friend @irynacranny.bsky.social, 3000 miles from us, hand made this incredibly beautiful and intricate shawl for Misty to help us celebrate our wedding. The Big Wheel Gang is the best gang in the world. Thank you Iryna! You make both of our lives better, and we love you very much.

There is a local beer from Maryland called Sweet Baby Jesus. It is a peanut butter porter, and it is Misty's favourite beer of all time. It finally became available here, and it will figure prominently at the wedding. I have to admit that it really is pretty damned good.

My grandmother was a complete badass. The definition of composure under pressure. Yet she was kind and caring, and whatever needed doing, she would do.

:) No father was ever more proud of his son. He gets 90% of the credit, but I see so much of his mother in him, and so much of me in him. He's going to be my best man at our wedding. There was never any other choice. He is a spectacular young man.

I have a bricked courtyard, but our summer was so rainy that impatiens volunteers sprang up everywhere in the cracks. It is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. (ps we didn't wash the bricks b/c we didn't want to harm the plants.)

I had to wait a month or so because they sold out so quickly, but I bought it!

We get a fair amount of these guys. (this is a stock photo, but it's what we have). They are absolutely spectacular.

Ooh! that is a good one. We get chorus frogs in late winter here, and the forest comes alive with sound all night.

Summer's last gasp.

Jason did inherit a bit of my knuckleheaded wit, though he uses it more wisely than I ever did. As I've said before, "sometimes you get lucky." That is possibly the only kid on earth I could have successfully raised as a single parent. (I've shared this photo before, but it is the most recent. :)
