A smooth galaxy, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the COSMOS survey.

It is at redshift 0.52 (lookback time 5.35 billion years) with coordinates (149.54651, 2.56805).

43 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.

It's nice to see that in the face of bullshit (the DeSantis Goon Squad painting over the rainbow crosswalk memorial for the pulse shooting), the people of Orlando went out there and colored it back in rainbow with chalk. Very nice. I hope someone does it with paint next. Even spray paint in a pinch.

Today would have been my momma’s 69th birthday, but she lost her 5 year battle with breast cancer earlier this year. I fully believe if we had better screening, tracking, and overall healthcare she would still be here. Women’s healthcare is inhumane and insufficient.
