What would the world look like if we preferenced people over the profits?

Businesses could still make money. And people could thrive instead of being poisoned. It is actually that simple.

We need to keep fighting for that world—people over profits.

Nothing warrants keeping coal plants open when they were set to close. Customers will pay the price for this folly. We all pay the price of dirty air.
Trump's DOE is forcing coal plants to keep operating, based on flimsy projections that many disagree with -- including the grid operator in the Midwest. Burning coal just for fun is going to be costly and Consumers Energy customers are going to get the bill.
With the Campbell 202c order, DOE is attempting to make RMR-like decisions that are unwarranted. DOE cites NERC’s summer assessment report as support, but even MISO, its market monitor, and at least one of its member states (Wisconsin PUC) think that the report lacks merit.

-Freeze Tribal funding
-Silence communities
-Fast-track fossil fuel projects through sacred land
