California has a $43 billion problem: that’s the estimated cost of maintaining the state’s gas network over the next 20 years. That is an astronomical amount to spend on what state policy dictates will eventually become stranded assets. We have a new paper, first in a series, with recommendations.
California has been drafting various policies to accelerate its transition away from gas. Our E-CELL project is publishing a series of briefs to help provide legal insights. The first one is on SB 1221 and it's out today!
