@smerconish.bsky.social Can we discuss voter representation in the Senate where lower population states have disproportionate say in our upper house? I understand the history & logic behind “equal” representation for each state, but it surely doesn’t serve voters. All politics are nationalized.

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%.
The actual number is less than 1%.
Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

Since the birth of our nation, rich, white, straight men have benefited from preferential hiring practices, both de facto and de jure. Maybe they’ve truth is that many have never been qualified for their jobs to begin with.
