There is no more middle you must make a choice. Which “C” will you choose:

1) Courage-ability to face difficulty or danger despite fear.

2) Capitulation-act of surrendering or giving up, reluctantly accepting or agreeing to something based on agreed upon circumstances.

I Choose Courage.

Senator Ted Cruz posted a dramatic video of LAPD cars on fire with the caption “this… is… not… peaceful.” What he didn’t mention? The footage was from 2020, not 2025. His post on X falsely implied it was current, part of a broader effort to spread lies and manufacture a crisis.

Happy Sunday, if you’re on Substack @amandamildtakes is great to follow for a run down of what’s really happening w/this administration.

@anthropic.com also there is no direct communication that your team responds to. I’ve also noticed that my projects that I deleted almost 7 months ago are not removed, they show deleted, selected projects are still saved. Are you using them to train Claude?
May 25, 2025 at 2:09 PM
@anthropic.com What is happening with Claude? I’ve been using Claude for a year, this morning I log in and Claude informs me that each new chat I have to reintroduce myself and my work. I have copies of previous chats where that was not the case. What is going on?

Good Morning,

How are you handling the things you can control?

Are you finding joy?

I’ve been a bit distracted, but I’m back to finding joy, pro-actively developing contingency plans. It feels good. Oh, I’m also excited about for a new group hobby for community building.

No notes. I agree.
Some of you lead miserable little lives just intentionally being insufferable on the internet. Logging on daily to say the worst shit to strangers. Seek help because life is too short to hold onto so much hate and when you're on your deathbed you won't want to be alone. Trust me.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you.

The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

Speak!

There is a reason why we disability justice advocates use the Disability Justice Framework along with the Social Model of disability, and reject the medical model of disability. Simply put the medical model is ableist.
I find it bleakly amusing when commentators remark on how “even doctors” say people are overdiagnosed with mental illness etc. As if the medical profession hasn’t repeatedly been at the forefront of dismissing and gaslighting disabled patients, especially women. Wildly ignorant.

Protect your mental health.

No news is going to report what’s really going on, so seek news from independent journalist and outside the states.

They will gaslight IF you let them.

That horrible thing that was shared on social media or said in a “news” briefing is most likely a distraction.

This is what I needed to hear!
Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

Thanks I’ll check everything confirm what I share also has alt text.
As Bluesky has grown, I've seen a lot of backsliding on alt text. Please try to be considerate to others and include alt text with all of your images. It helps everyone. Indeed, in the "accessibility" setting in Bluesky you can set it to make sure you add alt text, which is a useful thing to do.

It’s a lot happening all over the world. Hydrate, find peace and joy by doing something you enjoy with people you love.

After you take care of yourself, first. Choose your battles, partner with others who share a similar strategy and do what you can.
